Soldiers' Memorial.
The suitable acknowledgement cf the part our district men have played m "The Great War" should appeal to ev3*y resident. ' The meotiug called by the Chairman of the Town Board for to-morrow night will afford an \pporlunity to formulate a programme to raise funds for this worthy object. The patriotism which bubbles over with gush m sending our brave lads away is a very frothy enthusiasm if it fails to extend to recognising our , duty to the fallen and the maimed. The meeting to-morrow night should be made open to every person m the district who has a spark of interest m seeing that justice is done to the memory cf those who have " gone west " m the struggle, and it is to ba sincerely hoped that evory resident who ; acknowledges the debt awing to our defenders will attend the meeting and encourage thp3e who are M going to see this thing through,"
