IT WAS A MISTAKE.
Old Joe was talking, as usual, for the edification of the company, and footbthll experiences became the pet theme. "I shall never forget one* final/ said' he. "Well, Joe, did you 'score?" .a-sked one impatient listener.
"Score? Gad! it took t;ho missus fully 10 minutes to pull the b-jd-rail from between my toea."
