Fourth Evening Sports.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT.

The fourth evening sports of the local club take place on Wednesday night, when a programme of four han dicaps and four championship events will be contested. The Otautau Brass Band will be m attendance. This is the last meeting till late *m February, and will also be the last meeting on the present grounds, as by the time the next meeting is held, the recreation grounds will be fit for U3e. Very large entries have been received for the Southland Provincial Championships to be held at Riverton on Wednesday, 24th inst., including many visiting athletes, amongst the most noteworthy of whom are a team of Otago University champions. A special feature is the large number of entries received for the sprint championships.
