REHABILITATION LOANS

EXCEED £48,000,000 FARMING ASSISTANCE By the end of February 59,477 rehabilitation loans to ex-seryice-. men and women had been authorised to a total value of A48,331,400. For February itself 1,080 loans were authorised valued at £817,208. Loans have been for farms, houses, businesses, furniture, tools of trade and miscellaneous other purposes.

Other loan assistance authorised lias been as follows: Business loans, for February 118 (£114.662), to date 5,849 (A3,590,190); free-of-interest furniture loans, for February 514 (£46,456), to date 27,773 (£2,550,006); free-of-interest loans to purchase tools of trade, for February 21 (£628), to date 1,177 (£38,436); miscellaneous advances, for February 7 (£5,605), to date 311 (£67,434).
