TABLE TENNIS

ANNUAL MEETING INCREASING MEMBERSHIP The Annual General Meeting of the Opunake ’ Table Tenuis Club was held last Wednesday in the St. Patrick’s Hall. In the absence of the president. Mr. C. Thomas, who has left the distiict, Mrs. R. B. Bowman was elected to the chair. An apology was received from Miss R. Hickey.

the Balance Sheet was read and a credit balance of £B-10-0 was shown. Election of officers were: President : Mr. A. Humphries. Secretary Mr. H. Yep. Club Captain: Mr. D. Morris. Gear Steward: Mr. D. Morris. Committee: Misses G. Geary, F. Hickey, Mrs. S. Holmes and Messrs. H. Yep and T, Francis.

After a short discussion it was decided to limit junior members (undej; 16 years) to sis each season .

Subscriptions were fixed at 2/6 for the season and 1/- for each chib night. The. appointment of a door-keeper each night was left* to the Club Captain. It was decided Jo arrange several outside macthes during the present season. Owing to an increase in membership this year, a new table will be required, and it was left to the club captain and secretary to procure one.
