R.A.0.8. LODGE
FORTNIGHTLY MEETING LARGE ATTENDANCE Nearly 50 members of the Opunake R.A.0.8. Lodge attended Wednesday’s meetings which was held in the Masonic Hall. Bro. H. Shields, C.P., presided. Bro. G. Austin, R.H., Grand-Lodge Registrar, who was accompanied by Bro. W. „ Guard, Devonport Lodge, was present and a number of Haw era members were also in attendance. Members stood in silence as a mark of respect to the memory of the late A. J. Brennan. Three- new members were initialed into the order and two members were granted affiliation forms. It was decided to pay a regalia visit to Hawera in April on the occasion of the elevation of. Bro to the 4th degree and Bro. G. Maddaford to the 3rd. degree. Bro. Austin congratulated the lodge on its excellent progress and South Taranaki Lodges on being granted tlieir own dispensation. Arrangements for the cricket match with the Hawera lodge were finalized. Several items were contributed by members, and a tasty savoury supper also added to the enjoyment of the evening.
