IHAIA ROAD NOTES
THE SCHOOL PICNIC. The Ihaia Hoad School picnic, held in the King Edward Park, Hawera, provided a most enjoyable outing for the representative gathering. Games and races were held during the day. The Turuturu Road School which also was picnicking at the Park, challenged our children to several races and a relay. After our children were defeated, the adults decided to attempt, to retrieve the lost laurels. This they successfully accomplished, the ladies’ race being won by Mrs, Martin Han ey with Mrs. J. Sinclair jun. second, while the men's race was won by Mr. Gordon Harvey with Mr. Pope second.
