HARVEST HOME BALL

AT PIHAMA TOMORROW. POPULAR GATHERING. Everything is in readiness for the most successful Harvest Home Ball ever held in Pihama, a. night when all present forget their troubles and mingle for a few hours to thoroughly eujoy themselves. Each year the settlers in this district aim to make this popular gathering eclipse those previously organised and from reports current, this year’s committee have left nothing to chance, everything possible having been arranged to' obtain best n suits and a pleased assemblage. One of the main features >f the evening’s entertainment will be the Settlers’ Open Waltzing cl ampionship, which the committee wish ns to make known is open to all who attend ike function.

Many will be present who may be capable of winning this honour, so we would urge them to put aside shyness and just show the young fry how it should lie ■done.

Jack Hooker’s dance band will provide the music which will consist of all the latest hits and old favourites.

The supper arrangements are in the hands of a capable ladies' committee who will set out this important part of the evening’s proceeding in real Pihama style—those who have previously partaken will class this A 1 at Lloyds.

Free buses will leave Opunake and Kaponga on which only ticket holders will be carried. Viewed from every angle the Pihama Harvest Home Ball should be a huge success and -merits patronage from all parts of the district.
