NEW SINGLES CHAMPION
1933—J. WILSON. C. A. SMITH RUNNER-UP. During the last five years, the contest for the singles champion of the Opunake Bowling Club has seen a new name on the honours board.
This year’s competition was no exception to the rule and as usual large entries were received and many closely contested games resulted. The final game this season was played between Messrs. C. A. Smith and J. Wilson, the latter proving victorious by 21 points to IG. To both players we offer our congratulations on the good exhibition during the competition and the honours won. The final match fluctuated a good deal as will be seen in the scores published below. Smith at one stage leading Wilson by 10 —2. A one and a four brought the latter within striking distance on the.ninth head and from that on, the game was of an even nature. The score card was as follows
