W.D.F.U.

MONTHLY MEETING The monthly mooting of the W.D. F.U. was held fti the Parisli Hall on Thursday. Thqro was a good attendance of members. Mrs. Martin-pre-sided. The meeting opened, with the Creed. In . the absence of the secretary, Mrs.’ Jiarbour read the minutes. Outward and inward correspondence was dealt with and ar-' rangemonts made for the Labour Day dance. A telegram competition was won by Mrs. Dain. The competitions resulted as follows - Best Flower: Mrs, Lowe. I, Mrs. Cooke 2, Mrs. Hollard 3. Post Shrub: Mrs. Martin J, -Mrs. Lowe 2, Mrs. Barboiir 3. Best Vegetable: Airs. Lowe I, Mrs. HoJlartl 2, Mrs. Barbour 3. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdamcs Hollard and Dodgson. A vote of thanks to the chair and the singing of the National Anthem closed the meeting.
