FINDING OIL BY ELECTRICITY.
An electric apparatus is being used for finding oil. By determining th« electrical resistances between various points in oil-bearing: formations, and combining: this information with a ' geological knowledge of the district* the nature of the particular formatioa from the point of view of oil content can be told with a very fair degree of accuracy, owing to the high resistance of oil.
