School Picnic.
The annual picnic in connection with the Paeroa School was held at Barrett's paddock on Tuesday afternoon. There was a good attendance ot" pupils and their relations and friends, and thu Way's outing was thoroughly enjoyed by all. Mr Sullivan and the other teachers, together with the members of the committee, worked hard to make the children happy, and the merry faces of the youngsters showed that those efforts were highly successful. Numerous contributions were" received by the committee from local tradespeople, the knights of tho cleaver being conspicuous with their contributions. An energetic ladies' committee, consisting ot' Mesdames McAndrew, Hubbard, Pennell, Sullivan, Burgess, Phillips, Poland, and others, assisted by the lady teachers, looked well after the requirements of the children. The committee especially thanks the Ohinemuri Coaching Company for their liberality in driving children and parents to and from the ground. In the absence of the Genial George, the coaching arrangements were left in the hands of Mr Medhurst, and the popular Jehus Charlie Hudson and Harry White left nothing to be desired.
