LIBERAL FEDERATION MEETING.
A meeting of the Paeroa branch of the Liberal Federation was held in the Criterion Theatre on. Monday evening^ Mr J. Nrthan presiding. . The resignation of Mr Lake (secretary) was received, and Mr" Ftrrest undertook the duties pro tern.
Mr Nathan, the representative of the branch, at the meeting of delegates, explained what had been done, at the meeting, and aßked the members to ratify his action in the matter. A number of members expressed themselves dissatisfied with the manner in which the candidate had been selected, "and "said that it was thoroughly understood that a poll was to be taken for the selection of a candidate. Ultimately-it-' was-resolved by 15 votes to. 6 that the action of the delegate be approved. One of the members moved that the Federation be wound up, but the chairman declined to take the motion. Thia being all the business, the meeting adjourned.
