COMMUNITY SING
Sir, —The community sings open again on Friday next, when we are sure to hear some good singing from members of the British Rugby team. I sincerely hope the weather forecast will be given either before or after the sing.—I am, etc., • Silence, Please.
[The correspondent could rest assured that listeners to the community sings would miss no items, the secretary of the Community Sing Committee, Mr -J. F. Himburg, said when this letter was referred to him. There was an arrangement with Station 4YA, he said, whereby the leaders received a signal from the studio before the weather forecast, and during the few minutes off the air nothing of importance to listeners took place.—Ed..
