“DONE IN THE EYE”
American Fur Manufacturers’ Deal With Russia NZPA—Copyright NEW YORK, May 12. The Associated Fur Manufacturers reported today that the Russians had “ done them in the eye ” in what was supposed to be a friendly fur trade exchange. The association said that in response to a request from Russian fur breeders American mink breeders had agreed to exchange 12 live minks in various colour mutations for an equal number of live Russian sables. The association reported that the sables arrived, but failed to breed. Investigation revealed that they had all been sterilised.
