Win For Tapanui Juniors Special to the Daily Times TAPANUI. May 14. Roxburgh juniors, holders of the Bell Shield, suffered their first defeat of the season on Saturday when playing at Tapanui in a competition Rugby match, the home side winning by 19 points to 3. The game was played under ideal conditions. R. Edgar, W. Quin, and T. Bird were outstanding for Tapanui. Tries we»e scored for the winning side by Edgar,' M. White, S. Campbell, J. Ranger and D. Bellew. T. Bird converted two tries. M. McPherson kicked a goal from a penalty for Roxburgh. Results of other games:— Senior.—Roxburgh 9, Tapanui nil: United 10. Hydro 5: Miller's Flat 39, Waikaka 5.
