FORBURY PARK CLUB
Recent Winter Meeting SUBSTANTIAL PROFIT " One of the best meetings we have ever had,” was Mr D. C. Jolly’s comment at a meeting of the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s Committee last night, when reports covering the recent winter meeting were tabled. The financial statement disclosed a substantial profit. Those present at the meeting were Messrs B. S. Irwin, chairman, A. Ferguson. W. H, Adamson, J. E. Brunton, T. Fogg, F. M. Anderson, L. M. Fahey, A. G. Sime, R. K. Aitcheson, D. C. Jolly, J. A. MacDonald and G. J. Barton. An application by J. R. Fraeman for a licence to drive was recommended. The Forbury Park Bowling Club was granted the use of the course for the purpose of holding a mardi gras, subject to the committee’s approval of the programme. The Otago Centre of the Amateur Athletic Association was given permission to hold harrier races on the club’s track, the caretaker to decide whether the conditions were suitable. „ It was decided to forward the following nominations for seats on the Trotting Conference.:—President, Mr A. L. Matson; vice-president. Dr M. G. Pezaro; treasurer, Mr O. Hutchihson; executive— Messrs B. S. Irwin, A. Ferguson, J. E. Farrell snd J. B. Thomson. Mr MacDonald, who represented the club at the racent meeting of the Conference. held to discuss the Rules of Trotting, presented a report of the proceedings and was thanked for it. Messrs J. Brown and Co. were appointed auditors for the club. Accounts amounting to £2889 9s 8d were passed for payment. ' ■*
