Newmarket Stakes To Derby Favourite
Rec. 7 p.ni. LONDON, May 10. The Newmarket Stakes, run over 10 furlongs at Newmarket today, resulted: Prince Simon 1, Paradiso 2, Prerguex 3. Ten lengths. Prince Simon, the Derby favourite, made the race a procession. He was still full of running at the finish. Te Maru, Daisy Bar, Ascot and Scottish Nurse are back in M. Holmes’s team and they will all race in his colours at Oamaru tomorrow. Holmes will also be represented at the Auckland Trotting Clubs meeting.
