BUS STOPS

Sir, —I read with interest the remark in your paper on May 10 about the road collapsing where the buses stop at Mornington was caused by the weight of the buses. Last week Cr Anderson stated that the turning point was too acute for a number of buses. Now, Sir, if the Transport Department had put a little bit of thought into the matter it would be unnecessary to have built the turning point. The buses, instead of stopping at the tram terminus, could carry on to the intersection of Eglinton road and Queen’s drive, where there is an excellent turning point, also a shelter shed which could be used in wet weather. I would like also to hear other residents' opinions.—l am, etc.. Resident
