ROAD COLLAPSE
About 40 yards of the part of the road which has been used for the past week as a bus stop at the Mornington tram terminus has collapsed. The wheels of one bus yesterday went right through the tar-sealed surface, and later in the afternoon the area was barricaded off. The buses were then instructed to stop in front of the tram sheds, a little above the barricaded area. Residents ask how the roads are going to stand up to the heavy traffic of the proposed trolley-bus service if they cannot stand the test of the present buses’ weight.
