WAIPIATA SANATORIUM
Provision Of Social Hall
As far as he could ascertain no further steps had been taken to provide the badly needed social hall at the Waipiata Sanatorium, the president, Mr P. McGregor stated at a meeting of the executive of the 2nd NZEF Association. It was decided to spare no efforts to have this necessary work undertaken. Mr McGregor said that suitable arrangements had been made for the distribution of comforts at the sanatorium.
Considerable discussion took place on winter time entertainment at the club and a social committee to cater for this side of the club -was appointed as follows: —Messrs Anderson, Hancox, Beatson. Madsen, and Hastie.
The. secretary, Mr R. L. Brown, was instructed to write to the Waitaki Hospital Board to ascertain if it would accept, as a donation, the equipping with a radio set of Fraser Ward at the public hospital. Messrs Docherty and Spencer were appointed hospital visitors for the month. It was decided to purchase a small chair for presentation to Mr D. S. Swann in appreciation of his services to the club.
