Britain And Italy Level In First Singles YUGOSLAVIA BEATS AUSTRIA Rec. 7 p.m. LONDON, May 5. Britain and Italy are level I—all after the opening singles in the first round of the European zone Davis Cup tie. • Gianni Cucelli (Italy) defeated Toni Mottram (Britain) 5—7, 6—3, 7 —5, 6—4 and E. Paish (Britain) beat Del Bello (Italy) 4—6, 6—3, 4—6, 6—3. Yugoslavia reached the second round by establishing a winning 3 —o margin victory over Austria at Zagreb. Jaroslav Drobny defeated Geoff Brown 7 —5, 6 —o, 6—4 in the Men's Singles final of the British Hardcourt Tennis championships. Drobny and Cernik beat Brown and A. Quist B—6, 4—6, 4 —6, B—6, 6—2 in the Men’s Doubles final.
