INDUCTION SERVICE

THE REVEREND I. K. HOPPER The induction service of the Rev. I. K. Hopper, 8.A., was held in the Maori Hill Methodist Church recently, when members from North-East Valley, Woodhaugh, and Maori Hill Churches were present. The Rev. N. P. Larsen (Mornington), conducted the service and the occasional sermon was preached by the Rev. J. S. Willoughby (Cargill Road). Messrs A. L. Stanton and H. W. Benseman introduced the new minister to the congregation. Representatives of various churches in the district extended a welcome to the minister, his wife and family. The Rev. I. K. Hopper comes from Wesley Church, Oamaru, where he has been stationed for the past three years. He is the son of a former well-known Methodist minister of Dunedin, the Rev. Arthur Hopper, and was educated at the Kaikorai and the Otago Boys’ High Schools, and is a graduate in Arts of Canterbury University College.
