WOMEN HONOURED
LONG SERVICE TO AMERICAN GOVERNMENT PA WELLINGTON, Dec. 29. Two New Zealand women with a total of 52 years’ service for the United States Government have been honoured by the State Department. Long service buttons have been presented to Miss Esther Hunter (27 years’ service) and Miss Dorothy Montgomery (25 years) by the Ambassador, Mr R. M. Scotten, on behalf of the United States State Department. Both are officials at the embassy, where they have been employed since the establishment of a consul-ate-general in Wellington.
