Sir,—Does “ Justioe ” think that the National Government will give a social security pension without a means test. New Zealand is the only British country which provides anything approaching such an ideal, that is. in Labour universal superannuation. If “ Justice ’ has more than the present allowable capital, and so cannot claim the age benefit, he can get the “universal. - What amount does “Justice” consider should be the allowable capital or savings of an age beneficiary? _ , The Nationalists fought all Labours social security measures. If they had not done so the Labour Government could perhaps have provided full age benefit for all at once instead of as at present, by a gradual process.—l am, etc., v British Fair Play.
