DEFENCE RIFLES
The first practice shoot at 800 _ and 900 vard3 for the year was held by the Oamaru Defence Rifle Club at the Federal Range on Saturday afternoon. Conditions were trying, and a strong north-west wind made shooting difficult. Results: — K. Cayford 39—45—84, W. Halkett 40— 44—84, E. Gilchrist 42—42—84, L. W. Neill 39—44—83, W. G.
