CATHOLIC WOMEN’S LEAGUE

The Music and Drama Circle of the Jatholic Women’s League presented the ;rogramme at the monthly social held in 3t. Joseph’s Hall last Tuesday evening. A froup of Maori songs were sung by the •hoir, with Mrs A. J. Dowling at the liano, and Miss D. Dowling gave vocal plos. “ Idols,” a one-act play, was produced by Miss Eileen Houston. Those aking part were Mesdames A. J. Dowling, P. Walsh, L. Keogh, S. Harding. K. MacEeod, and B. P. Sheehan.

The hostesses for the evening were Mestamcs W. G. Nicolson, F. J. Byrne, and Miss M. Hussey. In the absence of the president, -Miss N. P. Fltzgibbon, the chair was taken by Mrs W. T. Grant.
