WOMEN MUSICIANS
A song and piano recital by Miss Honor McKellar and Mrs W. F. Reid was given to the Society of Women Musicians at its September meeting. Miss McKellar sang three groups of songs—one by early Italian composers, one of Brahms's lieder, and ♦he third a charming selection of modern songs by Peter Warlock. Mrs Reid played two piano groups, items by Porpora, Scarlatti. and Marcello being followed later by the “ Greenways ” Suite by Ireland and five Bagatelles by Ferguson. Mrs Duthie, in thanking the recitalists for their performance of a well-selected programme. paid a special tribute to the sensitive accompaniments of Miss C. Dunn. Miss Irene Barth presided.
