OTAGO WOMEN’S CLUB
The Play-reading Circle of the Otago Women’s Club held its annual meeting last Tuesday evening. The president of the circle. Miss Grace Farnie, occupied the chair and welcomed members. Officebearers elected for 1949-50 were: Chairwoman Miss Rewa Begg; vice-chair-woman, Mrs E. W. Kerr: secretary, Mrs W. J. White; committee —Mrs I. W. Cowie, Mrs E. J. Anderson. Miss R. A. Elllffe, Mrs J. Middleditch, Mrs M. Brodie, Mrs LWood. ' Miss Farnie expressed regret at the resignation from the committee of Mesdames M. Arthur and C. Benzonl, and thanked them for their valuable work in the club.
