DAFFODIL DAY
Thousands of daffodil blooms from places as distant as Christchurch and Lawrence, together with blooms of every description of spring flowers from local gardens, will be sold on street stalls on Friday, when the Plunket Society will hold its annual street appeal. Quantities of home-made cakes, jams, pickles, marmalade, savouries, children's clothing and knitted goods will be on sale on Thursday and i'riday at the shop in George street.
