DIFFICULT COUNTRY
, OTAGO HUNT CLUB On Saturday afternoon members of the Otago Hunt Club met at Highcliff and held their weekly run over the properties of Messrs Kennedy, Dickson, Campbell, Robinson, Farquhar, Donaldson. Stronach ahd Tyler. Most of the country was new and required skill, as the jumps were of a tricky nature. There were no mishaps, however, and the outing proved most enjoyable, as riders covered nearly eight miles and went over 30 jumps. The hunt Was controlled by the master, Mr J. E. Brunton, riding Robert 8., the acting deputy master, Mr S. R. Robb, on Black Jack, the huntsman, Mr J. McCulloch, on William Tell, the whip, Mr J. S. McKay, on Royal Don, the whips, Messrs W. Clifford on Spot Cash and F. Gorton on Sally Mine. Those qualifying were:—Mrs A. C. Sherriff on General Macarthur, Mrs Watson on Roseaday, Miss E. Batham on Royal Lady. Miss Ross on Flicker, Miss Russell on Sonny. Miss E. Ings on Blue Bird, Miss Clifford on Noela, Messrs Finlayson on Miro Chabo, G. Lloyd on Jacko, T. Law on Count Rodger, L. Geeson on Scout. G. Trainor on Cavalier, F. Ford on Easily Seen, T. Fraser on Starlight, G. Geary on Bob, T. Dagg on Frances. F. Atchely on Lassie, and F. Gorton on Sally Mine.
