ANNUAL MEETING

NORTH-EAST VALLEY BOWLING CLUB Over 60 members attended the fortyfifth annual meeting of the North-East Valley Bowling Club, held recently. As a mark of respect to the memory of five old and highly-respected members who passed away during the year—Messrs F. Keates, F. Perrett, E. H. Gibson, W. Spence and A. Incrocce—a minute’s silence was observed. Reference was made to the success of L. Hughes, who won the Singles Championship at the Easter tournament conducted by the centre, and also to that of L. Hughes and G. Cook (runners-up in the Pairs) and Wj McCallion, W. Ditchfield, L. V. Gain, and R. Gemmell (runners-up’ in the Fours). The election of office-bearers resulted:— President, Mr C. Purvis: vice-presidents, Messrs J. Breese (senior) and L. V. Gain (junior); secretary-treasurer, Mr W. F. J. Munro; delegates to the centre—Messrs R. Gemmell (executive), C. Fraser, and J. Coulter: .General Committee—Messrs H. Rigby. I. Strang, G. Cook, and R. Gemmell; Selection Committee—Messrs J. Hope, R. Gemmell, and G. Cook: Ties Committee—Messrs C. Fraser, J. Breese, and J. Coulter; Billiards Committee— Messrs J. Hope, F. Condor, H. Lorden, and I. Strang: Gardening Committee— Messrs J. Ireland, F. Condor, D. Munro, and N. Kirkwood; Coaching Committee— Messrs J. Coulter, J. S. Crawford, R. Gemmell, and H. Pettet; honorary auditors. Messrs W. A. Jenkins and L. V. Gain.
