NEW WAGE RATES
WAREHOUSEMEN’S AWARD
PA WELLINGTON, May 26. A minimum rate of £7 11s 6d a week, representing a rise of 11s 66, is prescribed for senior male workers covered by the’ New Zealand (except Westland rnd Canterbury) general warehousemen’s (other than soft-goods) award, which has been amended by the Arbitration Court in terms of its recent standard wage pronouncement. The new rate of £4 19s 2d •or females is an increase of 7s 2d. Amendments on similar lines have also to the softgoods warehousemen’s award.
