FINEGAND DISPUTE
NEGOTIATIONS RESULT IN DEADLOCK SOME MEN BACK AT WORK Negotiations at the week-end between the management of the South Otago Freezing Company’s Finegand works, the Department of Labour, and the men concerned in the dispute over meals ended in a deadlock. The men in ihe disnute ceased work a week ago last Friday. A total of 22 er was working at Finegand on Saturday, although usually 40 or 45 are employed. A member of the management tord the Daily Times last night that, in spite of the deadlock, the company hoped to have more men working this week.
