SCOTTISH MINISTER ARRIVES Special Correspondent WELLINGTON, Apl. 17. From the village of Kemnay, in Aberdeenshire, the Rev. J. M. Condie arrived in the Mataroa yesterday with his wife and three young children on his way to become the Presbyterian minister at Otautau. Mr Condie said to the Daily Times correspondent: “ Ever since I was at college I have always wanted to come to New Zealand. I do not remember having any particular reason for «choosing New Zealand except that one gets a passion for places, and from all I have seen and read and the New Zealanders I had met 1 was convinced that I would like to come and live here, and the opportunity came. “When an elder of Otautau, Mr John Smith, a farmer, of Waikouro, came as a visitor to our village and attended worship regularly there, he indicated to me that the Otautau charge was becoming vacant, and asked me to allow my name to go forward," Mr Condie said. “ Later I was lucky enough to receive a call to the charge, and was able to realise my ambition to come to New Zealand. “ I was extremely happy at Kemnay, where the Deople supported the church remarkably well,” he added. “ Kemnay is in many respects similar to Otautau, lying in the centre of farming lands.” Mr Condie and his'wife have three children
