MIDDLEMARCH

The end of the second series of stock sales in Central Otago for this year was held at Middlemarch yesterday, 6600 sheep being penned. From the start of the sale, prices were buoyant, and they continued to be so throughout. There were buyers present from South Canterbury, Oamaru and Southland, and local buyers competed freely. One-third of the yarding comprised medium small ewe and wether lambs, which sold particularly well.
