DR BEEL APPOINTED GOVERNOR OF INDONESIA
Rec. 8 p.m. THE HAGUE, Oct. 30. Dr Louis Beel. the former Dutch Prime Minister, has been appointed Lieutenant Governor-General of Indonesia in succession to Dr H. J. van Mook. The First Chamber of the States General to-day passed an emergency Bill enabling the Dutch Government to proceed., with the immediate establishment of an interim Government in Idonesia. The Second Chamber approved the measure
