U.F.S. DISPENSARY

* Record Turnover It was reported at the thirty-seventh annual meeting of the U.F.S. Dispensary Board on Saturday that another record year had been experienced, with the highest turnover since the dispensary was established. The same generous support from the public enabled dividends and bonuses to be paid to lodges and staff on the same scale as last year. Bro. I. Bain was in the chair, and tributes were paid to the board’s officers, Bro. W. Turvey, secretary for 32 years, and Bro. M. F. E. Cooney, treasurer for 26 years, who had carried on the sound administrative policy laid down by the board at Its inception. Congratulatory reference was also made to the services given by the manager, Mr C. Byrne, and the staff, who had carried out their duties with devotion and zeal. Tire public had been given ever}' courtesy and attention, and e.very year it was thought the dispensary had reached its peak, but the manager always did a little better. Mr Byrne acknowledged the co-operation given by the members of the staff, and thanked the board for its generosity and kindness to the staff and himself at all times. Among the toasts honoured were:—“ The President" Bro. G. Boaden—Bro. I. Bain); “ Vice-president " (Bro. J. Reynolds— Bro. J. Mackie); "Secretary” (Bro. L. Grenfell —Bro. W. Turvey); "Treasurer” (Bro.
