Jewish Forces Enter Lebanon
Rec. 1.15 am. LONDON, May 25. A Lebanese communique reported that Jewish forces crossed the frontier in the south of Lebanon and reached the village of Taibe. . They blew up a large building destroyed two others, and machine-gunned the village, killing four and wounding two before withdrawing. According to a Haganah communique, Jewish aircraft entered Syria and scored direct hits on objectives on the town of Fiq, cast of the Sea of Galilee. A successful attack was made last nieht on Harb, a Syrian-held town on the southern tip of the Sea of Galilee. The garrison was forced to retire.
