NEW SIAMESE GOVERNMENT
FORMAL RECOGNITION BY FRANCE Rec. 8 pm. BANGKOK, Apl. 24. France to-day extended formal recognition of the new Siamese Government headed by Phibul Songkhram. A letter acknowledging the change of Government was sent to the Siamese Foreign Office by the French Minister in Bangkok. A Foreign Office spokesman said the Government anticipated recognition of other Powers soon.
