HIGHLAND FLING WINS CUP P.A. WELLINGTON, Feb. 29. The Wellington Trotting Club’s one-day Summer meeting was held at Hutt Park in beautiful weather yesterday, and a large crowd was present. The track was fast, but dust clouds followed each race. Highland Fling gave a magnificent performance of pacing to outclass the field in the Wellington Cup. The totalisator handled £86,126, compared with £88,211 at the February meeting last year, a decrease of £2085. Following are the results:— Kaitoke Handicap, of £4OO.
