WIN FOR CARISBROOK
CENTURY TO J. O'SULLIVAN Carisbrook scored a five-point win on the first innings over Dunedin at Tonga Park. Carisbrook, who made 216 in their first innings, declared their second innings closed with five wickets down for 102. Dunedin had an hour to make 120 runs, but only managed to score 75, the decisive factor being the bowling of A. R. Knight, who took four wickets for 10 runs in five overs. The Dunedin player, J. O’Sulivan, who made 39 runs on the first day, carried his total up to 104 before being bowled by a tricky ball from Valentine. O’Sullivan scored slowly, taking over four hours to reach his century. Harwood showed good form in making 38 not out. Scores:— Carisbrook First innings 216 Second Innings C. K. Saxton, c Jones, b Tobin .. 1 A. R. Knight, b Tobin 28 L. A.
