The centennial pyrotechnic display at Hancock Park at- 8 45 p.m. Early Settlers’ Museum.—Display open from 1C a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Dunedin Public Art Gallery.—Exhibition of New Zealand paintings and Dresden china from 10 a.m. to 4.30 p.m. Otago Museum. —Exhibition of British rural handicrafts and other displays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cricket.—First Grade matches at the North Ground, Tonga Park. University Oval and Logan Park. Racing.—Concluding day of Dunedin Jockey Club’s meeting at Wingatui. Cycling.—Otago Amateur Cycling Championships at Caledonian Ground at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Softball.—Otago v. Southland match at Hancock Park at 3.15 p.m., preceded by two curtain-raisers. Sports Car Championship.—South Island Championship. Standing Quarter-mile Sprint, in Crawford street, starting at 12.30 p.m. Regatta.—The Ravensbourne annual regatta. commencing at 1.45 p.m. Fun Fair.—Final events of Axemen’s Carnival, from 5 p.m. to 7, and programme by Otago Regimental Band from 7.30 to 8. TO-MORROW investiture.—Order cf St. John investiture by Governor-General, Sir Bernard Freyberg, at First Church at 7.45 p.m. Dunedin Public Art Gallery.—Exhibition of New Zealand paintings and Dresden china, from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Otago Museum.—Final day of British rural handicrafts' exhibition, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. Surf Life Saving.—Championship events at St. Clair, 2 p.m.
