OIL FROM AMERICA

REQUEST TO FOREIGN BUYERS

REDUCTION IN PURCHASES Rec. 10 p.m. WASHINGTON, Feb. 10. The Commerce Department to-day asked foreign countries to reduce purchases of American oil to relieve the fuel shortage. The United States action came the day after an embargo was imposed on the shipment of all types of petroleum products from American east coast ports.
