PRINCESS ELIZABETH
Rec. 8.15 p.m. TORONTO, Oct. 17. Princess Elizabeth has chosen dark brown wild mink skins in a sirnplystyled coat as her wedding gift fromCanada. The coat will be full length, with a plain small collar. The lining will be dark brown pure silk. Invisible hooks will be used instead of buttons, and 85 skins are being used for the coat. , A London message states that the whole world will be able to listen in and hear Princess Elizabeth say, ‘ I do” at her marriage to Lieutenant Mountbatten at Westminster Abbey on November 20. The 8.8. C. will suspend all usual home and overseas programmes for two hours to broadcast a full sound picture of the event, with commentaries in seven languages. Twenty-one microphones in the Abbey will pick up every stage of the marriage service, and from the organ loft a 8.8. C. reporter will describe the scene The broadcast will begin at 10 a.m. G.M.T. with a description of the departure of the royal procession from Buckingham Palace. The 8.8. C. will also televise the scene outside the palace.
