MOTHERS’ CLUB
The members of the Mothers' Club of the Abbotsford Free Kindergarten held a social evening in the P.A. Hall, Green Island, on Thursday last to bid farewell to their director, Miss Mary Smith, who is leaving to be married. At the commencement of the evening, which was spent in games, competitions, and dancing, Mrs A. Sickels, president of the Mothers’ Club, presented Miss Smith with a shoulder spray and expressed the good wishes of the mothers. The supper table was decorated with winter roses and greenery. After supper, Mrs J. A. R. Brown, president of the local committee, on behalf of the kindergarten, presented Miss Smith with a tea wagon suitably inscribed and spoke of the high esteem in which Miss Smith was held, and wished' her every happiness in the future.
