WOMEN'S HOCKEY
REPRESENTATIVE MATCHES OTAGO DEFEATS MANIOTOTO A large crowd of spectators assembled at the Oval on Saturday to see the first representative matches of the season. Otago showed clear superiority over a strong team from Maniototo. In the second game the second team representing Maniototo defeated the Otago B Grade team. The conditions were good, and bol'n games produced some fast, open hockey Interclub competition matches in lower grades were also played, and finality was reached in the A2 and B 1 Grades, University B has a clear lead in the A2 Grade. In the B 1 Grade Otago Girls’ High School defeated Wesley, thereby placing Training College in an unbeatable position. Representative Matches The following were the results:— Otago 7, Maniototo A 1. Maniototo B 4, Otago B Grade 1.
