KEW BUS SERVICE
Sir,—lt seems that the above will never be any better, according to the statement by Cr McCrae, “ that a first-rate service could be given to North-East Valley if the tram rails were removed, and that the buses were available." If the buses are available, why does Cr McCrae not give us the service we are entitled to, and honour his remarks at the council meeting on Monday, March 4, 1947, “It is recognised that the transport services to the Kew and Corstorphine areas must have further attention as soon as possible.” We have been waiting for him to give us further attention, but it has not been given, so we must take up a stand in the face of his two remarks.— I am. etc., J. E. Finigan.
[When the above letter was referred to Cr McCrae he stated that he had no comment to make but would listen to representations made by the ratepayers’ organisation of the district. —Ed. O.D.T.J
