DUTCH VIOLATIONS OF CEASE FIRE
Rec. 8 p.m. BATAVIA, Aug. 13. The Republican Army has claimed to have recorded 252 Dutch violations of the cease-fire in Indonesia between August 5 and 11. Other reports reaching Batavia say that fighting is continuing in the Prianger district, where Dutch forces are said to have occupied the two principal towns. Tasikmalaya and Garut. The Republicans said that Dutch violations included 101 aerial reconnaissances, eight air attacks. 21 cases of shelling by artillery batteries, five cases of shelling by naval guns, 75 ground attacks, 20 cases of troop movements and 22 advances to enlarge Dutch-held territory. The Republican Vice-Premier. Dr Gani, is sending a message to Dr Sjahrir at New York officially informing him of the violations and large-scale fighting in the Prianger district.
