Her total stake winnings amount to £5395 David's Pride At Timaru in March David’s Pride ran second in the Timaru Nursery Stakes to British Machine. He is due to contest the Canterbury Three-year-old Stakes, and is reported to be in excellent order Promising Trotter Temple Star, is being got ready by L. F Berkett for the Addington Trotting Stakes this month, and is reported to be looking well. Last season he was started only once and won the New Zealand Trotting Stakes in impressive style. He is by Josedale Dictator from Farida, who was got by Native King Among the Missing One of the surprising features of the 1946-47 trotting season (says the Press) was the absence of 35 horses which were successful in the 1945-46 term. Weliknown performers in the list include Air Marshal, Bclhall, Gallant Maid, Ingle Beimer. Maalesh Rose Volo and Water Ranger. Air Marshal, the winner of the 1944 New Zealand Derby Stakes, appeared likely to reach good company when he secured two wins and five minor placings as a four-year-old. Belhall, which was trained by F, J. Smith for Mr R. Kennedy, raced well as a five-year-old for three wins and three minor placings. Gallant Maid showed good form when trained by V. Leeming to record a win and six minor placings in her last 10 starts for the season. Ingle Beimer, a sister to Countless, registered two wins and seven minor placings. and Maalesh won two races for Mr W Parkinson. Rose Volo's list of eight Platings included two wins, and she appeared to be one of the most promising three-year-old fillies of the season. Water Ranger recorded three wins, .a second placing, a third placing and a fourth placing The remaining horses in the list are Admiral Scott, Anna Wrack. Ben Doo, Billy Loyal, Black Rod. Blue Heaven, Brown Owl, Buster, Dunstan Direct, Final Fancy, Glen Parrish, Great Show, Infuser, Lady Bligh, Little Audrey. Mercury Maid, Nancy Potts, Nieht Beam, Princess Maritza, Quite Evident, Quite New, Safety First, Siege Gun, Sonja Henie, Trevathan, Valola, Volterra and Wexford Rose.
